The reunion of French-speaking missionaries, at which we’d hoped to renew our acquaintance with Presiding Bishop Gérald Caussé and get our two Valeries together, was also called off. |

As was Valerie’s annual month visiting Rebecca and her family. It was to have taken place in Heidelberg, this year (and without Emergency Room episodes), but Germany kicked all the foreigners out, and Australia (to which they’ve returned) is locked down, too.
And as I’ll report in a few pages, cancellation of the spring Mayflower banquet complicated delivery of the Quadricentennial medallions I’d purchased. |
Inconvenient |
Zannah has indeed started her mission. She’s called to serve in Peru, Spanish-speaking. Until the borders open up, she’s one of those cute young ladies with black badges on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. She’ll be dazzling; we’re tickled to be able to help support her. Take that, COVID! and Lucifer!
Finally, Mary Beth had been planning to rent an RV and come visit, but we got cold feet because of the virus, and she’s now set to go visit her friend Emily in the Carolinas. |
