Visit to Josette
Josette
We stopped in Santa Monica to see Josette Leroy. We hadn’t seen her in forty years, since about 1967, when my beloved Leroy family from Rennes visited with us in Waverley on their way to become Americans and Californians. She’s barely visible in the photo I posted about that visit. Here are better pictures of the whole family from late 1961, early in my first mission, when Higley and I tracted them out. And here’s a better picture of Josette, from the day (27 January, 1962) Higley baptized her and I confirmed her.

She took us to see Georgette, her mother, who wasn’t well and didn’t seem particularly glad to see us. We didn’t take a picture on that visit.
