19 December: Funny way to spend Christmas, perhaps, but then the weather didn’t really conduce to outdoor amusements. This shiny replacement for my arthritic right hip-joint came rather quickly to feel a lot better than the original. Dr Svagr thought me a bit strange to request it, but he did bring the old (original-equipment) one to my hospital bedside for inspection. The fig-leaf responded to a concern that Valerie expressed. |
