OK, so I make bold to conclude, with gratitude, that her chronic headaches—at least those within the past couple of decades— have been direct consequences of the gestation of those cherry-sized rocks in that gall-bladder that she never needed, anyway!
I’ve always been grateful that I hardly ever have headaches, except for one rather awful spell of them while we lived in Waverley. Those went away, danks Gott, and have never returned. And I slouch in awe of her courage, staying sweet and diligent through such a chronicity. Yes, my back hurts all the time, but that’s different. |
