Freedom, Cattaraugus County
After Keokuk, on our way to commemorate the Arlington Ward, we stayed a couple of days in Freedom, Cattaraugus County, New York, where our inimitable Grandma Harriet Page Wheeler spent her young adulthood and first met the Latter-day Saints.

Spent much of that Friday, May 28, in the office of Jim Griffith, the County Clerk, who devoted his whole afternoon to helping us chase down the ownership history of the house Grandma Harriet’s dad, Oliver Wheeler III built around 1827. Generated this timeline:
