Have to compliment Harvard University on the quality of its hospitality, particularly to crippled alumni. In my wheelchair (that Chris and Mary Beth had arranged), I had a very advantageous location, with Valerie at my side, by the southeast corner of Thayer, up front and marvelously close to the action on the built-up steps of Memorial Church, at the head of Tercentenary Theater.1 They’d also made available that most precious of Harvard Square rarities, a convenient parking space. Chris and his camera were located some distance away, with other immediate relatives of the graduates. |
