Have to compliment Harvard University on the quality of its hospitality, particularly to crippled alumni. In my wheelchair (that Chris and Mary Beth had arranged), I had a very advantageous location, with Valerie at my side, by the southeast corner of Thayer, up front and marvelously close to the action on the built-up steps of Memorial Church, at the head of Tercentenary Theater.1

They’d also made available that most precious of Harvard Square rarities, a convenient parking space. Chris and his camera were located some distance away, with other immediate relatives of the graduates.

1That’s what they’ve called this section of The Yahd, ever since Harvard was only three hundred years old (and I wouldn’t be born for another five years).
