And finally, our excellent “Killer,”* Mike Anderson, took first honors and a prize of $1000 in Vocational Arts.

Jeannie Barnes and I each came home with third prize scholarship money of $250.

We don’t seem to have a record of the distribution of the other prizes, but this Hi Tide piece says that no other school had as many as Pacific’s three.


*We hung that handle on Mike, of course, because we couldn’t think of anybody it would possibly fit less accurately. With his sweet, gentle, guileless character Mike stood out for goodness in the midst of a pretty decent population…
