| Several of the ten children of William and Elizabeth McLean had really distinguished pioneer careers in the Colonial era. Alexander, their seventh, impressed me to the point that I decided to insert him into my Book of Uncles. Only, of course, in the generic version that appears as a Section of this collection. I suppose I could yet print up an addendum to each of the individualized books I prepared for my grandchildren, but it seemed sufficient to notify those recipients that the new material is available to them in the on-line version.
