1995—Debbie and Tony

December 28: our precious Debbie became Mrs Anthony Charles Olsen in the Washington, D. C. Temple, with subsequent receptions in Provo and Belmont.

We won’t mention (oops! yes, I guess I did) that like Cyndi before her and Rebecca after, she ignored her mother’s fervent and oft-voiced desires for springtime nuptials. The boys managed to avoid marrying in the gloom of winter, but not our darling daughters. Good thing we love them anyway…

All three of the beloved mission presidents I was privileged to serve with in the New England Mission came to their Provo celebration. I think that was the last time I ever saw the Tempests.
