1990—Rick and Laura!
P0006240ew Rick and the lovely Laura Wolz wed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 12.

They tell us it was Laura’s brother Mike,
a friend and classmate of Rick at Brigham Young University, who first introduced them.

His letters home had emphasized her less-obvious assets:
“She has a job!
She has a car!”


…and she hails from Casper, Wyoming: the only city in the United States, we’re told, with a higher average wind velocity than Boston’s.

Chicago (the “Windy City”), mirabile dictu, comes in third. With them, it’s just the politicians.
