1976—Folks’ Visit and Dunaway Wedding
P8095ew Pappy and Norma came to visit and posed at the bottom of the entry hall stairs. Then we drove up to Ithaca, New York, for the wedding reception of our dear cousin Scott Dunaway (son of Ruth and Jim) and his most impressive bride, Ruth.

We’ve had an interesting time, over the years, figuring out what to call this new Ruth, given that she shares her name with another very strong, beloved lady, her mother-in-law and just about my oldest friend (in point of service, I hasten to add). “Little Ruth” has never been an option, nor “Ruth, Junior,” from the point of view of either Ruth.
