1974: Debbie!

Deborah Ruth Anderson, our second beautiful daughter, arrived at Boston Lying-In on September 10. Valerie says she came hungry and stayed that way.

Valerie and I were fascinated by our kids’ development in personality, language, and music. This was the year Debbie arrived, and so it was too early for her (or, a fortiori, for Rebecca or Justin) to contribute to these gatherings around the cassette tape device’s microphone, but her first four senior siblings provided contrasting and enthusiastic audio snapshot samples.
