Cambridge Farms Massachusetts Bay Colony |
The historic community of Lexington, now (2002) simply awash in our family treasures, started out in the 1630’s and 1640’s as the Precinct of Cambridge Farms , within the Massachusetts Bay Colony’s New Towne.
In 1924, Edwin B. Worthen, a local historian and teacher at Lexington High School, researched the town’s early history and prepared a series of maps and other displays to illustrate, as I understand it, lessons and lectures that he presented. Cary Public Library still has his materials, and the following items appear here by the Library’s kindness. |
