Wedding Presents |
Left to right: Duane’s little sister, our precious Aunt Ruth Eloese Anderson (later Dunaway), here age 12; Leola; Alta Ellis (wife of Duane’s college buddy Bruce, who probably took the picture); Duane; unidentified girl (not thrilled to be present; used to suspect her of being DeAnne Ellis, recently deceased, but Kathy is sure that’s not she); Grandpa A. M. Seely; Grandma Alfaretta Neff Seely’s knees and slippers. |
She was friendliest, of course, with H Duane Anderson. In 1936, just short of her 26th birthday (and just after his 23rd), they married in the Salt Lake Temple. Here, they’re gathered in the Seely living room in Brigham City (yes, the one with the heavy front door) to admire wedding presents. The wooden case at lower right contains their wedding silverware. The case and its contents now reside at the home of Marc (son of Brent) and Sarah Anderson in Mount Pleasant, Utah. |
