Rachel blessing
Son-in-law Tony Olsen exercised his patriarchal Priesthood authority on February 3, 2008, presenting Rachel Leola Olsen, his fourth child (our tenth grandchild) before the Keokuk Branch congregation to give her a name and a blessing. As I noted in the context of her birth two months earlier, she thus became our Mammy’s first namesake descendant. In keeping with her grandmotherly custom, Valerie made her dress for the occasion.
