1999—The Andersons of Greensboro

When we’d come to Greensboro to see them, Rick’s and Laura’s kids loved dress-up-and-roughhouse play. Their daddy and their Granny would enter cheerfully into the spirit of the occasion. Their Poppa…not so much.

It would be some years before Valerie would fracture a collarbone, wrasslin’ with older versions of these very kids. After which, she would adopt a more sedate rôle.
