1983—On Our Way: Strasburg
1516 The Neffs built this place as a combination flour mill and residence. Some time after they left, it ceased being a working mill and is now just a home, with some vestigial appurtenances. The change may have come pretty soon if, as we understand, our folks took their grinding wheels with them to Nauvoo, and thence to Winter Quarters and to East Mill Creek in Salt Lake County.

The red door still gives access to the spring house from which the mill pond received its water.
