Before Leola became an Anderson, she began as a Seely.
Leola Seely entered mortality in this house, 19 June 1910. These days (a hundred years later) its street address is 3408 Oakwood Street, East Mill Creek, Utah 84109-3046. Grandpa Arta McLean Seely built it around 1900 for his bride, Alfaretta Neff; she inherited the land from the estate of her father, Franklin Neff, the East Mill Creek miller.
Its current owner, Betty Chamberlin, is an accomplished and energetic gardener, to the point that one sees from the street rather more of her flowers than of her historic dwelling. Here are Betty and our own Valerie in Betty’s front yard, on September 19, 2004.
