Reunion in Paris

Not to overdo our collection of Presidential Portraits of Pappy, but I couldn’t think of leaving this one out. Here he sits, in the full glory and burden of his office.

The Church organization allowed him a great deal of autonomy as the principal ecclesiastical officer over most of France, Spain, Portugal, and North Africa, with direct responsibility for the welfare and for the performance of more than three hundred young missionaries and a growing variety of branch and district organizations.

It’s been a long time, but there are still those around who express their gratitude to God that H. Duane Anderson and Leola Seely Anderson came to Paris to preside.

For many prescribed and improvised purposes, Mammy made a good team with Pappy’s two assistants, Elder Rosenberg and Elder Jeffrey Winston.
