Off to Geneva
Barely had time to work on the Mission Office Christmas Tree, before it was time to jump aboard a plane, once again. This time southward and eastward, to Geneva, to welcome Brent back to civilian life. Coming right after our first shared trans-Atlantic flight, this one seemed over with almost before it began.

Brent gave us a tour of the Geneva Mission Home, which didn’t seem to have changed much from when Rulon T Hinckley and I had visited1 it, back in 1963. Must ask Brent to identify his comrades in this shot.

Note that by this time (within the preceding year) clever Valerie had cut down my distinctive light gray tweed high-school sport jacket to Rick’s size.
1On that occasion, President Henry D Moyle, Jr., founding president of the French East Mission, pointed out a flower bed and commented that he was trying hard to keep all his pansies right there…
