East Campus from Boston
Now that you’ve seen Walker Memorial, this view may make more sense to you than it would have before. We’re looking northward from the Esplanade in Boston. In Cambridge, across the Charles River Basin, we see Walker on the left, with Green behind it. A bit right of center, mostly hidden by the trees, the President’s House. In between, the end of Ames Street and, totally hidden, my beloved East Compost.

The big apartment building at far right is 100 Memorial Drive, home to many MIT faculty folks and other luminaries.
