President’s House
Again up Ames Street, but for this one I stood on the far Memorial Drive sidewalk, with the Charles right behind me. At right, half of the façade of the President’s Residence.

Below, a better shot of the President’s House, albeit still obscured by the wonderful New England foliage.
First entered this house during Rush Week (1958), to shake President James Killian’s hand, as he and Mrs Killian welcomed the new freshmen.
The next year, the Killians moved out and new President Julius Adams (Jay) Stratton moved in, with his gracious wife Catherine (Kay), and the aforementioned three blonde daughters, Cathy, Cary, and Laurie. A lovely, affable, approachable family of neighbors. But all kinda scary to bashful young me. Laurie, being younger than I, a trifle less so.
