back Danforth’s Responses next
It’s not surprising that Master Danforth sided with Munroe in his own responses to Hoare’s “Reesons”: Bacon was appealing, after all, from Danforth’s judgment, duly rendered, reaffirmed, and now foolishly appealed.

Like Grandpa William’s anonymous counsel, the magistrate responds to Hoare with a decorous modicum of sarcasm, expressed mainly via ellipses.

Danforth’s handwriting is clear enough, and this document is brief enough, not to require enlargement or subdivision. Click on the image at left for my transcription, if you like.
