2003—“Gentile” |
During our first decade in Chankly, I continued my 3000-mile-per-year cycling habit on my faithful Hepzibah, with my “Red Bag ‘Of Courage’” on my back. Pretty much purely for exercise; no longer for the sake of aesthetics, inasmuch as the desiccated Utah scenery just can’t compete with the verdant loveliness of New England, to my admittedly-prejudiced eyes. |
In April, 2014, alas, senility begat loss of balance and forced me to hang up my faithful steed in the garage, where she reproached me daily until the Badibangas came to the rescue.
To be fair, she and I did encounter one amusing bit of local history at the intersection of Gentile and Angel Streets in Layton. Don’t bother going there to see it yourself: the Eagle project succumbed to street work a year or so after I preserved it photographically. |
