If, indeed, his were among the bones they found, this sarcophagus is the grave of our eighth great-grandfather, Pilgrim Thomas Rogers. If not, it’s at least his memorial. His name appears ninth in the third column, above.
Our other direct ancestors among the Mayflower’s passengers survived the first terrible winter: Pilgrim Joseph Rogers, Pilgrim Stephen Hopkins, and Pilgrim Constance Hopkins. |
