That same day (April 3, the eve of Valerie’s 61st), while in Harvard (“The”) Square, I took better pictures of some of our family stones there. Better, that is, than the ones in my very early Section named NewTowne. Not perfectly sure why I focused on these, but they are particularly handsome ones. Stephen Coolidge is my second cousin, ten generations removed, in my Barron line. 1758 is particularly late for the flying-death’s-head design. |
Here lyes the body of STEPHEN COOLLIDGE ; M. A. & sometimes Master of the Free School in this Town. Who departed this life May 5th 1758. in the 50th year of his age. |
