On the 20th of March, I was snapping around Concord, Massachusetts, following leads on various Wheelers buried there, and I found this treasure by accident. Or was led to it—you choose.

We’re standing on Monument Street outside the wall, at the far western corner of the Burying Ground, looking back mostly northward. From this vantage point, the three nearest stones belong to our people:
  • 8th great-grandfather William Russell (1667-1717); his son, our
  • 8th great-uncle James Russell (1695-1773); and James’ wife, our
  • 8th great-aunt (by marriage) Susannah Farrer Russell (1701-1738)
