2001—November: Brigham City Cemetery |
Buried Treasures |
About this time, helpful son-in-law Tony Olsen taught me some rudiments of HTML, and I started putting together my family history on the Web with this little “slideshow”. |
By the end of the year, I had the earliest versions of sections entitled BrighamCity, Carlisle, GrannyHepzibah, IsaacDecker, MayflowerDescendants, Nauvoo2001, NeffBook, NewTowne, SaltLakeCemetery, Sandisfield-Colebrook, Uncles, and Watertown. Our loved ones in the Brigham City Cemetery, in Box Elder County, Utah, are of much more recent vintage than the ancient pioneers who lie in our other buried-treasure sites. They include three of my Mammy’s four siblings and their parents, my Grandpa and Grandma Seely—all kinfolk I’ve lived long enough to know and appreciate in this life. Even if only briefly. |
Biographical material on the Seelys appears in the gedenkschrift that Brent and I assembled for Mammy’s centenary in 2010. |
