2001—November: Salt Lake City |
Treasure Cities |
Our Decker family came into the Salt Lake Valley with our Uncle Brigham Young in 1847, and we’ve been represented in the population hereabouts, ever since. That makes Salt Lake City one of our “Treasure Cities.”
They’ve set up an attractive “This Is the Place” historical park around the entrance area. In November, we brought the kids to the park, so that they could know about the rôle their kinfolk played in the pioneering struggles of early Utah. After this visit, I documented these memorials in one of the earliest hypertext “Sections” in this collection. |
If you’re perusing a hypertext version of this page, this link will take you to that Section. Otherwise, you can chase it down by its name: ThisIsThePlace. |
