Yes, we understood that, technically, the year 2001 would be the real millennial year: that the nice, round, appealing 2000 signaled merely the winding down of the old lustrum, decade, century, and millennium. Kinda like New Year’s Eve.
But friends and family flocked nevertheless to the Boston area to make something special out of “Y2K”. |
It was a busy and a happy time for those of us who get our jollies out of showing off historic places and telling their real stories.
