In Ashby and Townsend, before you get to New Hampshire going west and north, Massachusetts Route 119 passes through the Willard Brook State Park, featuring a little waterfall and some irresistible climbing rocks. No, they don’t climb, but the kids did. We’d stop there on our way to or from Camp Quinapoxet in Rindge, New Hampshire, where at various epochs we’d have Boy Scouts to deliver or to retrieve.
