This looks like September, 1969, up at Lake Winnepesaukee, in New Hampshire. This would become increasingly a favorite family outing destination, as we grew into camping for an affordable vacation.

Later that year, we went to Ticonderoga. Or maybe to George’s Island, in Boston Harbor. That’s how Valerie remembers it, and she’s habitually right. The cannonball overmatches him. |
