Appendix: Loches
Pappy enjoyed and appreciated Loches. He was no longer among us, alas, by the time we learned of our Plantagenet connections. They were Mammy’s, not his, of course. But the historical and cultural echoes were enough to captivate him thoroughly.

The photos to follow commingle his with the ones I took in 1964; can’t really tell them apart, nowadays. He purchased some commercial slides, as well,1 but I don’t think I’ve included any of those: I prefer ours.
1One, in particular, of Agnès Sorel’s funerary statue. His shows visitors and hasn’t faded as badly.
