Graduation

Bottom line: they kindly awarded my degree. As President of MIT, Big Jay Stratton (Laurie’s dad) signed the certificate. No photos of the (surely impressive) graduation ceremony. We weren’t there. By Commencement Day, we’d packed up our Back Bay household and were hastening back to California’s Bay Area to start a twelve-month (June 1965 to June 1966) master’s program at the Stanford Graduate School of Education.
