Here is Page 73 of the Housatonic Proprietors’ Book, in the handwriting of neighbor Daniel Brown, dated 19 May 1756, reporting Mr John Stillman as a member of just about every committee appointed. And the fourth numbered item,1 notes the appointment of Mr John Stillman as the Proprietors’ Clerk.
1Looks like #3, for some odd reason — can somebody propose an intelligible logic for Brown’s marginal numbers?
