Our most widely-famous relative in this cemetery, Uncle Orrin Porter Rockwell1 is buried under a very suitable monument, just a few yards from Wilford Woodruff and a very woodsy memorial to Anthony W. Ivins. Only found it recently. Always thought he had been buried down near his ranch and tavern at Point of the Mountain. 1The nice folks at the “This Is The Place” visitors’ center couldn’t quite get his name right. Now (summer 2003) they’ve punted and taken the whole display down… |
