In Plot #1 in Concord’s Old Hill Cemetery is the gravestone of our 8th great-grandfather William Russell,
firstborn of early Carlisle (then still Concord)
settlers Benjamin and Rebecca
Russell. He apparently grew up at the old
Russell Street homestead in what
would later become Carlisle.
In any case, he married Hannah Adams, daughter of his Carlisle neighbors, our 9th great grandparents, James and Prescilla Ramsden Adams. |
