Mrs. Towle’s property across the way has given way to open-space land use: the maroon sign at right says that this is Carlisle’s
Towle Conservation Land. The Towle athletic field adjoins the forested section (to the right of this picture).
This map puts Minute Man s Nathan in 1775 on the north side of Westford street between his Minute Man son Aaron and his Minute Man nephew Jonas, who lived by then in his grandfather Corporal Joe’s house. Nathan’s homestead is doubtless his daughter Hepzibah’s birthplace (in 1751) and childhood home. |
