Our Carlisle Minute Men |
The homestead of 6GGP Nathan and Mercy Munroe (#6) shows here, sandwiched between that of their son Aaron (#7) and that of Nathan’s father Corporal Joe (#9, then recently
deeded to nephew Jonas).
The commander of the Carlisle Minute Men, our 1C8R Lieutenant James Russell, marched from the homestead (#36) of his great-grandfather (our 9GGF) Benjamin Russell. When Oliver Wheeler wore his sword on the 19th of April, he did it under some combination of Acton and Concord auspices; this map and the other documents don’t count among Carlisle’s company anybody from his Acton Road part of town. |
