Watertown: Map of Landings |
As we mentioned, Clapp’s party landed near present-day Watertown Square and the Founders’ Monument. Sir Richard’s Landing, on the other hand, lies in present Cambridge, much nearer to Harvard Square, (which showed in the bigger map as New Towne), but still within Watertown’s Colonial limits. The experts have marked the historic spot (S) in two different places, not too far apart. |
