2020—Isaiah! by way of Zannah!
It’s time for a celebration! I’d hardly dared pray that I’d live long enough to catch up to the current year in this chronology, but here it is, 2020! The Year of Perfect (well, at least normal) Vision! The Quadricentennial of the arrival of our Pilgrim Ancestors at Plymouth! The long, long anticipated Present! And my SuchALife record includes Something, if not yet Everything it should, about each of the Threescore and Nineteen Years that Providence has thus far vouchsafed me!

Up to Now, that is, this account has been pure retrospect. From Here on Out, it takes on the character of a journal of current events, except as it will appear expedient to dip again into the past for the sake of correcting, polishing, and expanding the clarifying links that characterize hypertext.

By way of celebration, let me recall a couple of years ago at Chankly, when I was puzzling my loved ones with audible delight over a snippet from a favorite poet, the incomparable Prophet Isaiah, in the hearing of my exceedingly creative granddaughter, Susannah Olsen. Whereupon she grasped the tools of her visual art, thus:
