And it came to pass that we stopped to get a better picture than we’d yet had of an important (if obscure) location in our family’s history: the stone marker at the southeast corner of “Scotland”, the land grant that eighth-great-grandpa William “The Immigrant” Munroe obtained in 1660, at the end of his term as a “redemptioner”. |

You have to look closely to discern the “L” which designates the Lexington side of the boundary and the “W” for Woburn. |
