I think the venue for this reunion was a food court in a big mall in Rancho Cucamonga, not far from San Bernardino. Valerie reminds me that this was the Southern California majority of her siblings, and so Crystal was among the missing, and I must have been the photographer.

Wish I could find the photo Pappy took of Grandpa standing by the highway sign announcing the boundary of the community of Cucamonga. His comrades at Hill Field in Utah, it seems, wouldn’t believe the place really existed. They thought Jack Benny and Mel Blanc had made it up: “Train now leaving on Track Four for Anaheim, Azusa, and Cuc…amonga!” Never heard the “Rancho” part, back de mon vivant. Benny was made honorary mayor of all three “cities,” I believe.
