2004—12 July: Carthage

I’ve already mentioned that our grandson, Johnny Olsen, was born at this clinic in Carthage, in the very year of this visit.

A few blocks to the north of his birthplace, Carthage boasts a modern playground, apparently erected by the contributions of citizens, whose names appear on the pickets of its surrounding palisade fence.
