And this one, in the dining room, displays our Valerie with what she says was a very curly perm. I’d identified it as a (then-stylish) wig. She had several (maybe in 1983; maybe not), and she found them a great convenience, particularly when getting herself and several kids ready for church. All too frequently, as she saw it, without any help from me, as I’d be off somewhere on Stake Clerking business.

And don’t you have to admire Chris’ comic interaction with the papillon en émail that somebody from France gave us as a wedding present? Lovely item; cute kid.
The kids denominated one of her wigs, a tightly-curled blonde job, “Mommy’s Gwoss Hair.”.
