Valerie took charge of Debbie’s Brownie troop. When the girls were mean to our Doodle, Valerie threatened to quit, unless they straightened up. Apparently they did, because she stuck through the year, despite a palpable overload of community service. |
This one’s a bit mysterious. It’s dated 1982, and it can’t be much earlier than that, because it took me almost ’til then to get that yellow paper on the entry-hall walls, which were bare, white plaster when we arrived in 1973.
So that must be Justin, in somebody else’s boots and coat. That’s either a stringed instrument or a machine gun in his (or somebody else’s) pack. |
