Row houses, again, but in notable contrast to Beacon Street. The pink-stuccoed unit on the right is (still) 60-C Escondido Village, our little piece of official Stanford University married student housing. These dwellings came in two flavors: row-house apartments like ours, and high-rise towers like the one you can glimpse in the background, arranged in a roughly circular fashion around a common enclosed “back yard,” with nice playground facilities. |
