| At Bradley, they no doubt told me all about the Junior High scene. You know, the business about moving from one class and one teacher to another, every hour. But that apparently doesn’t mean that I absorbed the knowledge. Between that and the little red shorts (I hardly ever wore shorts — ’way too bashful) we had to change into for gym, I remember the first couple of days as pretty confusing and embarrassing. |

| Must’ve “lettered” in something, inasmuch as this cunning piece of felt reposes among my few memorabilia of those days. Can’t imagine what it could have been, apart from, perhaps, good grades in my final year there. Or mayhap this was Brent’s: we do know that he had one; must inquire. |
