Here’s great-great-great-grandma Harriet Page Wheeler Decker Young,* flanked by her two loving spouses. We know she lived with Lorenzo Dow Young during much of her Nauvoo sojourn, but it seems likely that she arrived as a member of Isaac Decker’s household, with their six children in tow.
*Yes, they seemed unable to spell her name right in the former “This Is The Place” visitors’ center. Or those of many of our kin, for that matter. Likely had nothing to do with their decision to eliminate the center itself, some time in the past couple of years (2003-2004).
