Frances Mariah Stillman Russell Neff |
East near what is now Evergreen Ave. It was here that the grandchildren spent many happy times with Grandmother. Sleeping on her soft feather bed. It was like floating in the clouds into dream land. It was a change from their straw filled mattress at home. Her home was so luxurious to children. She had a beautiful parlor with a fire place, separated from a large dining room by folding doors with portraits hanging over them. There were big gold framed family pictures on the walls. There was a stairway and the bedrooms were on the second floor. It was all very grand and we cherish the memory of the little lady who let us enjoy it with her. |
